THE TIMESHIFTERS features Casper Van Dien playing a tabloid journalist who makes a shocking discovery while researching a story on great disasters in history. In nearly every photo he studies, taken from such disasters as the sinking of the Titanic and the destruction of Hurricane Hugo, the same unknown man appears unchanged through time. The man turns out to be a futuristic tourist visiting the scenes of historic disasters. As Merrick and a magazine researcher played by Catherine Bell ("JAG") set out to uncover the man's identity, they soon find themselves putting their own lives on the line to avert imminent catastrophes.

Van Dien first came to prominence playing Griffin Stone on the popular series "Beverly Hills 90210." He soon moved on to feature films, making his biggest splash as Johnny Rico in Paul Verhoeven's popular sci-fi thriller "Starship Troopers."

Van Dien followed "Starship Troopers" by playing the title role in "Tarzan and the Lost City." This year, he will star opposite Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci in Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow" and with his wife, Catherine Van Dien in Sidney J. Furie's "The Collectors."

Van Dien will also be seen in the TBN feature film "The Omega Code" this fall.
