New Jersey-born Monica Keena co-stars in the popular prime-time series DAWSON'S CREEK as Abby, the mean-spirited troublemaker of Capeside. In addition to her DAWSON'S CREEK role, she recently wrapped production on the feature film THE SIMIAN LINE, co-starring Lynn Redgrave, William Hurt, Dylan Bruno and Cindy Crawford. She will also soon be seen in Miramax's STRIKE, opposite Kirsten Dunst and Gaby Hoffman.
Keena set out on her career in the performing arts when she was accepted into both the vocal and dramatic arts departments of the prestigious High School for the Performing Arts (LaGuardia). She earned her first role in a short film entitled BURNING LOVE and portrayed Bertha in a staged reading of Strinburg's THE FATHER, with Al Pacino, Julianne Moore and Vivica Lindfors.
Keena's other film credits include THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, RIPE and the title role of SNOW WHITE, opposite Sigourney Weaver. Keena has just completed her first year at New York University.
